About Sohil Warsi

Sohil is a 19-year-old artisan from Lucknow, now living and working in Tiruvannamalai, a sacred town at the foot of Arunachala.

He began learning to make drums at the age of 11, not in a workshop or classroom, but on the streets. Guided by instinct, repetition, and a deep love for rhythm, Sohil honed his craft the traditional way, through practice.

Each drum he creates is made by hand using local, natural materials. Shaped with care. Tuned by ear. Alive with the raw, sacred pulse of Tiruvannamalai.

These aren’t just instruments. They’re expressions of something deeper.
